Hi, I’m Damian Curran, I provide an assortment of musical services.

My Experience

I have been a private music tutor for over 10 years and for the past 8 years I have taught through the Musicians Centre in Keighley. I primarily teach from home but am happy to travel if that works for you.  Due to the present health crisis I am now teaching all lessons online via video link which has been a very fluid transition and my feedback from students and business clients has been 100% positive.

I have a BTEC NDiploma from Bradford Music and Performing Arts College in Music Theory / Performance as well as additional qualifications in Music Technology, Score Writing, and ABRSM Graded Theory. I am also a registered music teacher through the Registry of Guitar Tutors via the London College of Music.

    As well as one to one tuition, I also have a wealth of songwriting experience behind me, as both a solo artist and as part of larger ensembles. I am fluent in many different styles of playing too. So if you’d like to get to grips with blues improvisation, try your hand at constructing your own fingerstyle arrangements, or you just fancy brushing up on your theory to help you craft your own original progressions with a little more depth, then I am happy to discuss this further with you.

  • Online Music Lessons

    Does your busy work or home life hamper your availability to find a time slot to suit your learning desires? If so, then perhaps a video lesson is the best thing for you. I can be flexible with my time and fit you into a slot that works for us both to help you master your instrument, without sacrificing valuable time you would otherwise be struggling to give up. I have taught many of my existing students online as well as face to face, with many advantages tutoring online, over a more demanding need to be in the same place, even country, as me! I’m happy to discuss your needs further and arrange a time and day to accommodate your schedule.

Damian has been my guitar teacher for over a year and he’s a great teacher as well as a really nice guy. I’ve found his teaching has really inspired me to try new and difficult techniques and he has supported me to stretch beyond my comfort zone at times. He has never judged my taste in music and enjoys any music genre, always encouraging me to pursue my own interests. The area he’s helped me most with is to play and write my own music and songs – it’s been great fun learning to create my own music. Damian is a great teacher. My daughter has been learning guitar with him for almost 3 years.
